How to bake delicious frozen tofu into crispy tofu biscuits

Grilled frozen tofu is a delicious, high-protein option that works well as a snack, BBQ skewer, or low-carb alternative. Its unique honeycomb-like texture turns crispy on the outside and chewy inside, making it excellent at absorbing all kinds of seasonings.

🥢 Crispy Biscuit-Like Baked Frozen Tofu

Thaw the frozen tofu and squeeze out the excess water—just like wringing a sponge. This step is crucial for achieving the final texture and mouth feel.

Cut the tofu into small pieces and place them on parchment paper.

Brush the four faces of the tofu cubes with oil. Bake in the oven at 230°C (446°F) for 5 minutes to form a light crust on the outside, also further drain the water from tofu, fully open its pores.

Pause and remove tofu from the oven. Brush with a flavorful sauce: this time we used a nutty blend of peanut butter, sunflower seed paste, salt and a touch of white pepper.

Return to the oven and bake for another 3–5 minutes.

Such a simple and fast crispy tofu ‘biscuit’, who wouldn’t love? It can be paired with any drinks for direct consumption.
